?»?My dad is not a famous aviator. He didn't set any records, or design a rocket. However, he has shared his enthusiasm and passion for flight and aircraft with many others. He is a member of multiple flying organizations including AOPA, and EAA. Dad has given a lot of first airplane rides to adults as well as kids, and a few went on to achieve their own dreams of flight. A typical story about dad... He had been flying the pattern and was about to hangar the plane when he saw a father with his two kids "on the other side of the fence" watching planes take off and land. Dad went over and struck up a conversation. When he found out they had never been in a plane he brought them through the gate and gave them their first flight. It was a thrill for a family of strangers, and another chance for dad to share his love of flying.
