    Kester E. Hibbitts (1932-1993) served in the U. S. Navy as an Aviation Electrician on the USS Kearsarge (CV-33) from 1952-1956 during the Korean War.
    After service, he briefly worked for Chrysler Missile Operations in Detroit, Michigan before permanently relocating to Alexandria, VA. During the late 1950s he worked as an Electronics Technician for Melpar, Inc and Emerson Research Laboratories.
    Kester finished his career at Litton Amecom in College Park, Maryland, where he spent 30 years specializing in Electronic Warfare Systems. As an Associate Engineer at Litton he worked on detection, surveillance and reconnaissance systems for aircraft such as the E2-C Hawkeye, EA-6B Prowler ADVCAP, EF-111A ASVCAP and the E3-A. He also participated in the development of an antenna system for the Apollo Command Module. Kester retired from Litton Amecom in 1992.
