    Mr. John J. Breymaier, Jr. was born June 13, 1912 in Baltimore, Maryland. He devoted 36 years of his life to aviation and space exploration.

    Mr. Breymaier commenced employment with Glenn L. Martin Company, Baltimore, Maryland, in 1937 as a mechanic. During World War II, Mr. Breymaier was a Quality Control Supervisor on the Army Air Corp Martin Marauder B-26 and Navy PBM Programs.

    Subsequent to our nation's involvement in World War II, Mr. Breymaier was assigned to the Navy's P6M Flying Boat and the Air Force B-57 Canberra Projects.

    In 1957 Mr. Breymaier was assigned as Launch Quality Control Manager on NASA Project Vanguard, the first United States attempt at launch of a satellite into earth orbit. Next he was assigned the same position on the Air Force Titan I Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Program.

    John J. Breymaier completed his career in the Martin Marietta Corporation Orlando Division assigned to the Army Pershing Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile (IRBM) Program when he retired in 1973.

    This tribute and place of honor on The National Aviation and Space Exploration Wail of Honor is to recognize the contributions of a true and dedicated aviation and space pioneer. May God bless Mr. John J. Breymaier, Jr.
