Ms. Laura A. Hufnal

Joseph Hufnal has always been an aviation enthusiast. Since his early boyhood days reading novels of World War II pilots, watching Twelve O'clock High on television, attending air shows with his father and later painting models and pictures of famous aircraft, his devotion to "all things that fly" has never waned. As a young adult, this interest lead to flying lessons and many contented hours spent in the cockpits of airplanes. This lifelong passion has extended into a career as the Process Engineer for a Boeing Helicopters subcontractor, Olympic Tool & Machine Company in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, where he just celebrated his 30th year of employment. A particular interest was that of seeing the Osprey Aircraft come into full development. One of his current interests that he is now able to share with his sons has been the exciting field of model RC airplanes; flying his own models as well as attending many events in our local area. This summer will be a true highlight as he looks forward to visiting the new Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in August.
