Charles E. Schlumberger, a Swiss citizen, holds a pilots license since 1982. He has logged numerous flight hours in Europe, Africa, and the US. As a former Swiss banker, he joined the World Bank in 1998 and moved to Washington DC. Next to his work at the World Bank, he currently holds a US flight instructor license and operates a twin-Cessna 340 out of Manassas, Virginia. Since his first visit to the National Air and Space Museum in 1979, he was always fascinated by the world's most visited museum and its contribution to aviation heritage.
