    Honored by:
    Mr. Richard L. Mohr

LeRoy A. Mohr, a native of Clinton, Iowa, served his country in World War II as a lieutenant in the US Army Air Corps and piloted medium bombers, such as the B-26 Martin Marauder and A-26 Douglas Invader. He was assigned to various duties at US airfields and was training for the Pacific theater when the war ended. He returned to a career in banking but never lost his love of flying. In mid-life, he renewed his pilot's license and flew small private aircraft, such as the Piper Comanche 6 and Piper Aztec. (Honored by his son, an aerospace engineer.)
