Member of The Planetary Society., His name is included on a microdot aboard the Carl Sagan Memorial Station on Mars; on a CD-ROM aboard the Cassini spacecraft bound for Saturn; his name was mounted on the BETA Telescope at Harvard University on a plaque; his name was included on board the spacecraft Stardust; and he helped to name some of the craters on asteroid Eras. Inducted into the International Poetry Hall of Fame on October 1996, his poetry was inspired at an early age by the wonder and beauty of space and the possibility of mankind’s exploration and colonization of alien planets. “We are all start stuff and dreams.”
