    R. Nathan Mitchell

A graduate of Texas A & M University, a WWII veteran, and a resident of Fort Worth, TX, “Mitch”, as he was known to family and friends, devoted a 27 year career to General Dynamics as a Project Engineer. With and emphasis in aerodynamic stability, Mitch contributed to the development of some of the greatest military aircraft our country has ever seen. A few of the aircraft he helped to develop were the B-36, B-58, F-111, and the F-16. Throughout his career, Mitch never lost an aircraft in flight testing. A recreational pilot as well, Mitch was a brilliant aeronautical engineer, dedicated husband and loving father of two.
