Patrick O'Brien earned a BS in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from The Ohio State University in 1974. He then served as a Project Manager in the Carrier Suitability Branch at the Naval Air Test Center, Patuxent River, Maryland. He directed major test and evaluation programs for carrier-based Navy jet aircraft, including the F-14. In 1980, he joined Foster AirData Systems and sold area navigation and other avionics equipment. Mr. O'Brien holds a commercial pilot's license with instrument rating.
