    Mr. Klevatt's 51 year engineering and program management career with NACA-Langley, Sverdrup & Parcel, Westinghouse Electric and Douglas/McDonnell Douglas/Boeing [DAC/MDC/BA] encompassed highly advanced aerospace technology and operational systems programs. His early work included transonic wind tunnel - porous wall research and jet engine afterburner design. His 39 1/2 years with DAC/MDC/BA were characterized by management of key development and operational programs including: air & ground launched missiles; fast response missile controls; advanced rocket propulsion systems; torpedoes, manned & unmanned spacecraft; and expendable & reusable launch vehicles. As Director-Program Manager he led: Navy High Energy Laser Systems; MDC's PAM-D Space Shuttle and Delta 2 commercial Comsat launches; SDIO's unique Delta Star Satellite project; the pioneering, fully reusable BMDO/NASA Delta Clipper DC-X/DC-XA Single-Stage-to-Orbit rocket programs; and NASA's X-37 Advanced Technology Pathfinder Vehicle program. Key personal recognition's included: U of Illinois Distinguished Alumnus Award; American Defense Preparedness Association Award; Aviation Week & Space Technology Space Laurels Award; Rotary National's Stellar Award; AIAA Fellow.
