Mr. Stephen Denes was fascinated by all things related to aviation from an early age. As a child, he read stories about pilots and flying and exploring the world beyond our own. As he grew into his teen years, he became very active in the Civil Air Patrol in Colorado. As an active member of the CAP, Mr. Denes was recognized for his achievements and awarded a solo flight scholarship at the age of 17. He learned to fly under the guidance of a CAP flight instructor and earned his private pilot license at the age of 18, just after graduation from high school.

After college, Mr. Denes became a civil engineer and quickly entered the profession of airport engineering. As a licensed pilot and avid aviation enthusiast, he was able to blend his interests with his profession. During his career, Mr. Denes worked on a variety of airport and airline facility development projects, from the smallest general aviation airports in eastern Colorado, to large international airports in England and the Middle East.
