Thomas Pollitt is my grandfather. He deserves recognition for the role that he played in my life. It is through his enthusiasm for space and aeronautics that I learned mine.
Every weekend he would bring us to the airport to watch planes fly. He knew the name and type of every plane. Whenever a NASA mission would go into space he would sit us in front of the TV set. I can still hear him say “you are seeing history made”.
This is my thanks to my grandfather for inspiring me as a young girl.
