Employed 38 years at Piper Aircraft Corp in Lock Haven, PA as a tool inspector. He retired due to poor health. He was very well versed on every piece of metal, screw, nut, and bolt that went into building the Piper planes. After retirement he would look forward to the fly-ins that are still held at the old Piper plant in Lock Haven.
He always loved coming to Washington, DC and visiting the Air and Space Museum. He would just absolutely love the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. We as a family felt this was such a very special way to honor our father.
