    Mr. Wallace M. Fairfield was a native of New England. Wallace Fairfield moved to California in the late 1930s and began a career in the all barring industry.
    He was instrumental in the early design of the P-38. He was also a key figure in the production and delivery of the bearings for the SR-71 engine.
    His “can do” spirit and tireless pursuit of excellence inspired those around him to achieve their all.
