    Angeline Amelia Edes was a commercial pilot. Her husband, First Lieutenant Alfred Wayne Edes, Army Air Corps, 526th Bomber Squadron, 379th Bomb Group (H), Eighth Air Force, was killed in action 13 March 1944 as a B-l 7 pilot on his 21st combat sortie over CROCETTA, France. He and his crew await the Resurrection in the Normandy American Cemetery. The Edes' daughter, Major Rochelle Irene D'Arcy, USA (RET), served twenty years on active duty.
