Caroline, my dear daughter-in-law, recently married my son, Shawn, the pilot. She is a sweet and extremely intelligent 21- year old, having received numerous honors and scholarships throughout her school years. She graduated from college with a B.S. in Aug, 2000 after only 2 years of college. Caroline can’t remember not flying. She has loved to fly with her father in his 172XP all of her life. The airplane is based on a grass field near their home. She began “working the line” at Burlington Aviation, NC at the age of 14 and over the years has acquired many ratings, including ME II. She instructed at a flight school in Norman, OK for 1 year. Since then she has been flying cargo in a twin for a Raleigh, NC company. That job is coming to a close because she was just hired with United Express to fly a regional jet. Through hard work, she is realizing her dream. Right now, she hopes one day to be a Captain of a 737. I know she is capable of anything.
