    Honored by:

Mrs. Margaret R. (Miller) Breymaier was born November 25, 1914 in Baltimore, Maryland. Mrs. Breymaier's contribution to aviation and space exploration is "behind-the-scenes" type support to her brother, Lieutenant Allen R. Miller, to her husband John J. Breymaier, Jr. and to her son Lieutenant Allen J. Breymaier. These aviation and space contributors are profiled separately.
Mrs. Breymaier was instrumental in Lieutenant Allen R. Miller's decision to enlist in the Army Air Corps. As a loving and caring sister she constantly supported her brother's World War II military activity and maintained almost daily written communication with her brother during his military service.

Mrs. Breymaier was likewise a supporter of her husband, Mr. John J. Breymaier, Jr. during his World War II employment in the aircraft manufacturing industry. As a housewife she maintained the peace and harmony during the many hours Mr. Breymaier was at the aircraft plant. Mrs. Breymaier was instrumental in commencing the neighborhood scrap metal collection drive that netted almost a ton of material to be melted and turned into wartime fighting equipment. She also was a volunteer air raid warden and contributed hours educating the neighborhood in safe wartime practices such as blackout windows, emergency supplies, emergency contacts and home-made bomb shelters. Mrs. Breymaier was a staunch supporter of the nation's war bond program.

She insisted on a move from her lifetime home to a new location in Florida in support of her husband's commencement into a new career in space exploration. Again Mrs. Breymaier gave full support to her husband's career during the time the United States was engaged in the "Cold War." This was the time of unlimited working hours for those involved in this "space race" and Mrs. Breymaier could be counted on to providing the happy, caring, and loving home life for her husband.

Mrs. Breymaier provided the "Mother's" support to her son Allen J. Breymaier during his 40-year military and space career.

Mrs. Breymaier's life was unselfishly devoted to these three men who gave of themselves to the aviation and space exploration over a 50-year time-span. Her contribution is herein honored by inclusion of the name Margaret R. (Miller) Breymaier on The national Aviation and Space Exploration Wall of Honor. Mrs. Breymaier died September 1977. May God bless Margaret Breymaier
