    As a teenager, served the Civil Air Patrol in Malden, MA. Enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, 4/19/1953, serving as an Aircraft Reciprocating Engine mechanic, earning a CAA Aircraft Mechanics License through night school. Retrained in 1962 as an Air Traffic Controller, earning Certificates for saving four aircraft, their crews and passengers before retiring 9/1/1973. Served in Vietnam 10/1965-10/1966. Began flying civilian aircraft in 1960, eventually becoming an Instrument Flight Instructor. After 3½ years in a non-Federal Control Tower, joined the FAA as a Flight Service Specialist in 1991. Served three different airlines as a Customer Service Agent and Operations Specialist, 1992-1006.
