MSgt Edwin M. Fujimoto, USAF-Retired is a 20-yar veteran. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1957 and served in various positions supplying needed parts for aircraft maintenance and troop support. He even supplied disposable baby diapers during Operation Baby Lift at the end of the Vietnam War. His support of military aviation did not end when he retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1977.
His example inspired three of his five children to enter the Air Force -- two through attendance at the U.S. Air Force Academy and one through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at the University of Hawaii. Both of his sons are on flying status, one as a weapon systems officer in the F-15E, while the other is a C-130 pilot. His eldest child retired after her own 20-year career, while his two other children continue to serve.
In addition, he has a son-in-law who is a colonel in the Air Force and a daughter-in-law who is a Captain in the Air Force. (Current as of May 2006).
