    World War II from June 1941 thru September 1945 served as aircraft refueling chief with the 64th. Squadron of the 57th Fighter Group. We were part of General Montgomery's Desert Air Force from Egypt to Cape Bon in Africa, to Malta, to Sicily, to Italy, covering the invasion of southern France and finally back to Italy and ending at Villafranca (about 40 miles from Lake Garda).

    Recalled to active duty in 1950 for the Korean War for 12 months. Served at Otis Air Force Base in Massachusetts and Presque Isle Air Force Base in Maine. Served as aircraft refueling chief.

    Recalled to active duty 1968 for the Viet Nam war till released. Served at Stewart Air Force Base, Newburgh, New York and then at Tague Air Base in Tague, Korea. Recall lasted for 18 months; served as Transportation Supervisor.
