MSgt. Richard C. Nottelmann served in the U.S. Air Force from 18 Sep 52 until 1 Nov 73. Since retirement, he has worked with the cadets and cadet candidates at the U.S. Air Force Academy- as mentor and sponsor. He is building a database for all B-17s built as well, as photographing and cataloging all military
aircraft on display in museums and on static display. He has also donated to the preservation of B-17s.
