    MSgt Richard L. Boyer served his country for 20 years. He is a Pearl Harbor survivor serving at Hickam Field on that fateful day, 7 December 1941.

    Throughout his career MSgt Boyer was an enlisted aviator, serving as a gunner in the B-29; was one of the first hard boom in-flight refuelers in KB-29, and completed his service as a boom operator in KC-97 and KC-135 aircraft. In his last year he was an instructor/evaluator of inflight refueling operators.
