    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:

I served in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1974. I spent tours of duty in the Philippines, Vietnam, and Germany; as well as six Stateside Assignments. My first assignment in the Air Force was in one of the last SAC Fighter Wings. My last assignment was in a SAC Bomb Wing. During my time in the Air Force, I met my first wife. We married in 1957 and divorced in 1962. I met and married my second wife. Elsa Elizabeth Hall in 1963. We were married for 33 wonderful years. I lost her in 1996 due to a battle with Cancer. I met my third wife, Dorothy B. Hancock, in 1997; we were married in 2000. When I married Dottie, I also obtained two children. Curtis C. Hancock, and Cynthia Hancock Fauber. Along with those two, I obtained three wonderful grandchildren, James Curtis Hancock, Hannah Paige Fauber, and Alec Grant Fauber, along with twelve brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, and many, many, nieces and nephews too numerous to count. In 1999, I received another grandchild, George Lane Hancock. I had a wonderful Mother and Father and two brothers, whom I loved dearly. Also, three sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews on my second wife's side of the family, and my side of the family. Never having children of my own, I found the peace, joy, and love of having children and grandchildren in my life in 1997, after having met and married Dorothy. I feel that my life is complete. I am surrounded with love from my extended family, along with my wonderful wife, children and grandchildren. I am, also, blessed with friends from my childhood, of long standing, with whom I have remained a friend throughout the years; I feel that my life is complete. But, most of all, my heart is filled with pride and honor, with having served my country for 20 years. I have been blessed.
