    After obtaining Airframe and Powerplant Certificate Neil joined the U S Navy 1969 - 1973 Assigned to Antisubmarine Patrol Squadron 23 as Hydraulic specialist on P-3 Orion. He reenlisted in the Navy Reserves 1976 - 1998. Recalled to active duty for Operation Desert Shield/Storm and served for 7 months as Airframe Quality Assurance Representative NAVSTA AIMD Rota, Spain. 1973 - 1980 Civilian career include Maintenance Foreman and Chief Inspector for Bar Harbor Airlines . 1980 - 1983 Consultant to Quebec Aviation, responsible for setting up maintenance and inspection program for airline operation.1983 - 1998 Director of Maintenance for Acadia Air and Chief Inspector for CFR 145 Repair Station. 1998 - 2003 Joined the Federal Aviation Administration as an Aviation Safety Inspector, overseeing numerous repair stations and CFR 135 Air Operators, Accident Investigations, 2003-2015 He became the Eastern Region Technical Specialist for U.S and International Repair Stations, Neil was a team member responsible for negotiating Bilateral Maintenance Agreement with European Safety Agency. Once Agreement was signed he was responsible for ensuring Quality standards in EU member states. Neil retired from the FAA in 2015. Without the support of Lynette, his wife of 43 years, Neil feels his career would not has been as successful.
