    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:

Major Norman B. Walker distinguished himself by extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as an 0-2B Pilot near Due Lap, Republic of Vietnam on 25 August 1968. On that date, Major Walker was directed to proceed on an urgent mission against hostile forces which were on the verge of overrunning the Due Lap Special Forces Camp. Despite extremely poor weather conditions which forced him to fly his light aircraft within easy range of hostile forces gun positions, Major Walker acquired the target. With unwavering calmness and courage, Major Walker flew through withering ground fire, pressing the attack until his mission was accomplished. The professional competence, aerial skill and devotion to duty displayed by Major Walker reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
