    Current Assignment:
    Norm Conley is the Very Important Person/ Special Air Mission (VIP/SAM) Programs Engineering Manager for Boeing Military Products Wichita Division. His responsibilities
    Include the development and execution of VIP/SAM Projects Engineering. He has acted as the project engineering manager for Air Force One, Independent Research and Development activities and Aeromechanics management at other times.

    Professional Experience: Mr. Conley began his career at Boeing in 1966 after receiving his Aeronautical Engineering degree. His assignments span a variety of engineering and management assignments, including 20 years in Aerodynamics Staff, 5 years in Aerodynamics and Advanced Design at Gates Learjet. Various management positions include: Group Engineer of Basic Aerodynamics and later Chief of Advanced Design at Gates Learjet. He is a Co-inventor of a wing with improved leading edge for aircraft, U. S. Patent 4,240,597, issued December 1980.

    Education:
    Mr. Conley was born in Eureka Kansas. He grew up and attended school in Wichita. He holds a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from Wichita State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Kansas. He is a licensed private pilot.
    Professional/Community/Special Activities
    Mr. Conley is married and has one child. He has been active in church and community service. He is an active member of the Dean's Circle, an advisory group to the Dean of the College of Engineering at Wichita State University. Mr. Conley has previously held several other key positions, including, Chairman of the Wichita Section of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). He was the regional executive of the Wichita Region Sports Car Club of America, and Chairman of the Diaconate at Pilgrim Congregational UCC. President Central States Association of Shrine Motor Corps (CSASMC). Webmaster of Kansas BEST, his church, Midian Shrine and CSASMC. Last updated on March 31, 2000
