    Which Pam do you remember?

Do you remember Pam Quint - the Kentish girl, oldest of four - Pam, Ann, Billy and Roger, listening to the buzz-bombs overhead, evacuated to Wales in the Blitz, a College girl in the foreign land of Yorkshire who couldn't boil an egg, the P.E. teacher at Alleyne's Grammar school in Stone making lifelong friends with Katy, meeting a young "old-boy" called Ellis Price, and forming another lifelong relationship.

Do you remember Pam Price - the young Mum to four "rambunctious" (a good American word) children, Chris, Manda, Cathy and Becca all here today, all with her from the first to the last, still teaching, mostly her children, but also tennis to girls at a village convent school?

Do you remember Pam Price - the W.I. member, teaching dance to a group of mostly willing, but large and lumbering, men for the world-famous "Welton Panto", and producing an endless stream of jam, cakes and pickles to raise money for this good cause or that need?

Do you remember Pam Price - the infant teacher, teaching children of children she had taught?

Do you remember Pam Price - the golfer, the keen competitor, marching over hill and down dale in pursuit of a little white ball?

Do you remember Pam Price - the craft fanatic, quilting, knitting, sewing, caning, metal-working, rush-working, seagrass-working, cushion making and curtain making? To say nothing of wedding-dress making?

Do you remember Pam Price - the avid arts lover and theatre goer?

Do you remember Pam Price - the crossword solver?

Do you remember Pam Price - the avid competition watcher - motor-racing, cricket, golf, snooker, quiz shows, bowls, dance, even sheep-herding, but always tennis, always Roger?

Do you remember Pam Price - the traveler - who paddled in the North Sea, the Atlantic, the Mediterranean, the Aegean Sea, and the Pacific?

Do you remember Pam Price - the Grandma - always making toys and quilts, and always there to wipe up tears and spills?

Do you remember our Mum? We always will.
