    Patrick J.E. Halligan is an avid aviation enthusiast with Air Force and commercial airlines flying experience in his background. He has had the privilege to do something he truly loves throughout his career. He was born in Baytown, Texas on 21 June 1963. He attended Fayetteville High School in Fayetteville, Arkansas graduating as an honor student in May 1981. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He received his BSBA and was commissioned through ROTC in May 1986. His first assignment was to Reese AFB, Texas to attend UPT. He was selected to remain as a T-38 Instructor Pilot graduating as a Distinguished Graduate from T-38 Pilot Instructor Training in Jun 1988. From Jun 1988 to Apr 1991, he was a Military Training Officer, Check Pilot, and RSU Controller. He then transferred to Randolph AFB, Texas to instruct T-38 Pilot Instructor Training from Apr 1991 to Mar 1995. He was responsible for Senior Leadership Instructor Qualification and T-38 Flight Examiner duties. In Mar 1995, he transferred to Little Rock AFB, Arkansas to fly the C-130. He served as a C-130 Aircraft Commander and Wing Realistic Training Officer until Mar 1998. He then transferred to the Arkansas Air National Guard and attended C-130 Instructor School graduating as a Distinguished Graduate in Jul 1998. In Jan 1999, he was hired by United Airlines and flew multiple aircraft and instructed in the 757/767 at the United Pilot Training Center. Due to the events of 9/11 he returned to active duty in Apr 2003 as a C-130 Instructor Pilot in which he is teaching the next generation of aviators to fly the C-130. He is married to the former Tracey Whited of Hot Springs, Arkansas. They have two children, Shea and Meagan
