Honored by:
Joined the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) in 1948. Supported aeronautical projects at Langley Field and Wallops Island, VA (U.S. Navy 1953-1955). Rejoined NACA and in 1959 was assigned to the "Space Task Group" of NASA and assisted in Parachute Deployment and Heatshield development for the Mercury Spacecraft. Moved to Johnson Space Center Houston, TX in 1961 with the Flight Crew Support Div. for design/support of simulators for Gemini, Apollo, Skylab and Shuttle programs.
