Paul was born in Westerville Ohio in 1926. Upon graduating from high school he enlisted in the Navy and served as a plane chief on the USS Nehenta Bay (CVE-74) during World War II. After the war he received a degree in engineering from the Ohio State University and worked for Westinghouse in upstate NY for many years until his retirement.
In retirement Paul traveled the world with his late wife, Marion, and still has a love for both aviation and travel.
