    Perry A. Morse was born 7/13/23 in McKeesport, PA. He was drafted into the Army Dec. 14, 1942 and reported to U. S, Army Base, New Cumberland, PA. He volunteered for gunnery school, trained in Tyndall 7 Biggs Fields, Fl. He was enrourte to England on D-Day. He was assigned to the 44th Bomb Group, 506 Sqdn, stationed in Shipdham. As a tail gunner on a B-24 flew 35 missions in France and Germany with the crew of George Beiber, holding the rank of SSG. He returned to the States and became a Physical Training Instructor, was discharged 9/15/45. Awards: DFC, Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, European Combat, French Diplome of Gratitude. Spent 17 years in National Guard. Retired 1966.
