Pete Bulkley earned his enlisted wings through the Civilian Pilot Training Program in 1942. He was hired by United Airlines shortly after that and flew Douglas DC-3's during World War II. On retirement from United Airlines at the end of 1979, he was the flight training manager for Boeing aircraft. He has ratings in: DC-3, 4, 6, 7 and 8; Caravelle, Convair, viscount, and Boeing 727, 737, and 757 aircraft.
