    Honored by:
    Mr. Peter Halasz

Peter A. Halasz has always had an interest in flying. When in high school, he wanted to pursue aviation as a career, and his guidance counselor told him he could not be a pilot because he wore glasses. Peter went on to pursue a career in the medical industry, but always had aviation in his mind. About twelve years after high school, he earned his private pilot's license that soon changed into a commercial license with an instrument rating. He used aviation for his business as well as pleasure with his family. He also became the president of his local pilot's association. When Cirrus Design unveiled their new SR20 at Oshkosh, it was destined that he would work at the company with the heart of a pilot but the mind of an engineer. Seven years later, Peter left his medical field to pursue a position with Cirrus. He currently leads the company with sales for the year. His family is very proud of his accomplishments.
All things are possible with the right faith. Peter's passion for aviation could have died in that high school counselor's office. We should all hold on to our dreams and pursue them to the fullest.
