    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Sponsor

    Honored by:
    Mr. Stephen P. Delo

Member of the 91st Bomb Group (H), 8tn Air Force. He was a B-17 pilot flying from Bassingbourne Airfield in England, during WWII. On his final mission (20 February 1944 four days prior to his 20th birthday) his aircraft, "SUGER BLUES", was heavily damage but made it to the English Channel from over Holland where he and his other crewmembers were "rescue by the brits or who ever got there first". Therefore he became a member of the Gold Fish Club.

He later flew P-47's for the Maryland ANG (104th Fighter Group), where shortly after takeoff he experienced an engine failure and had to make a forced landing in the Baltimore Harbor. He retired at a rank of Captain from the MO ANG.

A loving wife of 48 years, Agnes K. Delo, survives him; also four children and six grandchildren survive him.
