    Peter Paul Luce was born on May 18, 1929 in New York City. He obtained his Private Pilot's License in September 1947 and thereafter enjoyed a life-long interest in General Aviation. He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) for three years until joining the Aviation Cadet Corps in Class 52 Baker during the Korean War. In July 1965 he obtained his Airplane Single Engine Sea Rating.

    After moving to Colorado in 1969, he obtained his Instrument Rating on July 12,1971 and then his Commercial License on March 21,1974. On August 18, 1979 he obtained his Airplane Multi-engine Land Rating and about two months later bought the first of three successive twin-engine propjet Mitsubishi aircraft. He became a member of various aviation organizations and an officer of many.

    In 1990 and again in 1994 he researched and published the Colorado Directory of Flight Schools. He financed and promoted the development of the first Federal Aviation Agency certified single engine propjet aircraft, the Interceptor 400, He was one of the major sponsors of the search for remains of Amelia Earhart by The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery (TIGHAR) organization.

    Using his Mitsubishi aircraft he flew mercy missions for various non-profit organizations, such as: AirLifeLine, Sacramento, CA (71 missions); Abducted, Lost, Innocent, Enough (ALIE) Foundation, Englewood, CO (8 missions);Angel Flight Center, Kansas City,MO (11 missions); Cornell College, Mt. Vernon, IA (20 missions); First Plymouth Church, Englewood,CO (10 missions); and six missions for three other organizations. In 20 years he has flown the Mitsubishi aircraft well over a million miles with a perfect safety record and has a total of approximately 5000 hours in a variety of aircraft.
