Phil learned to fly at 14 years of age and never lost his love or zeal for aviation. He spent his career with the Federal Aviation Administration, retiring as the Chief of Air Traffic Control of the Charlotte International Airport.

He has owned and loved several small aircraft, and he continues to fly at the time of this application. In fact, he lives to fly. He has been and is active in the Experimental Aircraft Association and the Quiet Birdmen. His passion for flight will be in his soul forever.
