Philip was born in 1965 in Fullerton, California and raised in Costa Mesa, California. From a young age, he acquired a passionate interest in aviation, flight, and aerospace history through his childhood hobby of building airplane models. Growing up, Philip had always dreamed of becoming a pilot, but those dreams were cut short when his eyesight was too poor to qualify him for flight school and the US Air Force, and the technology at the time was unable to provide him with an alternate solution regarding his vision. However, Philip was determined to work with the airplanes and other aerospace vehicles that he was so passionate about; so if he couldn’t fly them, he was going to build them. He went to school and became a mechanical/ aerospace engineer. After completing his education, he was hired at Northrop Corporation before transferring to Boeing where he has remained for 24 loyal years. In his years as an aerospace engineer, Philip has assisted in building multiple military aircrafts, the B-2 Spirit Bomber, the Space Station, Delta IV Launch System, in addition to commercial aircrafts such as the Boeing 777, 787 Dreamliner, and 747. What was once his childhood hobby, ended up becoming his career. Philip continues to work for Boeing, where his passion for airplanes and aerospace remains as strong as ever.
