My husband, Captain Phillip R. Skeen, was hired by Piedmont Airlines in 1967. He flew several aircraft during his career with the 737 being his favorite. He was privileged to see Piedmont go from Regional, to National, and finally, International. No greater excitement existed when Piedmont was named Airline of the Year. Piedmont was the only airline that my husband served with love and devotion. I have placed his name on the Wall of Honor so that he will not be forgotten as a skilled and dedicated pilot who fought his battle with Leukemia valiantly and "flew west" to the land of glory!!!
