I received my Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from UCLA in 1986. I have worked for the Aerospace Corporation and TRW on spacecraft structures. I am a Professor of Aerospace Engineering at the University of California, San Diego.
I am involved with structuresÂ’ research with NASA-Langley, NASA-Glenn, the U.S. Air Force, Boeing and General Atomics, U.S. Army and DARPA. I currently hold 7 patents, published over 100 aerospace related papers, and am an Associate Fellow at AIAA.
