Professor Alric P.Rothmayer’s passion was for doing research and teaching students at Iowa State University in the aerospace field. His specialties were viscous flow aerodynamics, boundary layer theory, and computational dynamics for Navier-Stokes equations and boundary layer equations. He researched multi-phase flows applied to aircraft icing. Professor Rothmayer taught low and high speed fluid mechanics and aerospace propulsion.
