Professor Roland "Rollie" Jenison was devoted to teaching engineering students at Iowa State University. He made it his goal to provide every opportunity for students to realize their potential to aid in the successful solution of the multitude of problems that face mankind.

To Rollie, the aerospace engineering field was the most exciting and challenging of the engineering disciplines, and it was an honor for him to provide graduates with opportunities in commercial and military aviation, as well as the frontier of space. Rollie's passion was to not only help students learn the technical aspects of aerospace engineering, but to develop the confidence and nontechnical skills so necessary for a rewarding career.
