Pvt. Candelero O. Salvato was first Missing in Action and then reported Killed in Action was attached to the 11th Air Force on Attu, Aleutian Islands. He was a tail gunner on a B-25 Bomber when on a mission to Kurile Islands, Northern Japan on November 6,1944 on the return flight was attacked by Japanese Zeros and Zekes fighter planes and shot down. There were no survivors.
