Having been born in 1952, I grew up with the space program. Landing a man on the moon was the last thing this country said it was going to do, then followed through with, and actually accomplished.
As a member of the National Air & Space Society, Planetary Society, Team SETI, and as an avid follower of the space program, today, it remains mankind’s greatest achievement.
This gift is also in memoriam of parents, Mr. & Mrs. J.R. Poe, who were my best mentors and best friends. And in tribute to the men and women who took mankind on its greatest adventure.
