Earned private pilot’s license in 1961. Became a U.S. Army Flight Simulator Instructor in 1962. Employed in Eastern Airlines Flight Operations Training Department from 1966 until 1992. Managed Flight Safety International Training Center in Miami from 1992 until 1997, and later managed the center as its name changed to Flight Safety Boeing and then to Alteon Training – A Boeing Company.
