    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:
    Mr. Richard Bernard

My passion for aviation began with an air show in my native France at age 8 followed with a youth air magazine subscription. The rest was in this order: Technical school with a metal specialty. Engineering work in French aircraft industry. French private pilot license. Designer at De Havilland Aircraft of Canada on the DHC 3 Otter. Designer at Republic Aviation Corporation on the F-105 Thunderchief. Full time program at the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, culminating with a BS aerospace (for aircraft and spacecraft design). Then a US private pilot license. Stress analyst in design of Boeing 737, C5-A Galaxy, Grumman Manned Lunar Excursion Module, F14 Tomcat, Falcon 10 Engine Nacelles, and Space Shuttle Wing. Senior Engineer at Dassault Falcon Jet, responsible for structural repairs of aircraft in service affected by accidents and aging situations, on several continents, for 21 years, until my retirement. Contact is continued with occasional consulting work. For class mate, early career colleague and long time friend see honoree Guy Bernard.
