    Reese Arnold King was born November 16, 1912 in Portland, Oregon and raised in Glyndon, Maryland. He served in the European theater from 1942-46 including time with the 333rd Bombardment Squadron, 94thBombardment Group, an Eighth Air Force B-17 Flying Fortress Unit where he flew 23 operational missions over continental Europe. He was an Airman Staff Technical Sergeant and served as an Aerial Engineer Gunner in combat missions.

    He received the European African Middle Eastern Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters and Distinguished Service Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster.

    In 1948 he re-enlisted to take part in the Berlin Airlift, leaving the service in1951.

    After the War, he married Patricia Ennis to whom he was a very loving husband and father to his two sons and two daughters--Sean, Chris, Kim and Tara.
