Mr. R. P. George
Enlisted in Aviation Cadet Program day after graduation from high School. Entered pilot training program January, 1944. I was in pilot training program up to advanced. At that time, we were informed that to get our wings and commissions, we would have to transfer to Flight Engineering Training on B-29’s. This I did and took my advanced training in Hondo, Texas. We completed our B-29 training, but the War ended before we were to go to the Pacific to fight the Japanese. I am founding member of the American Air Museum in Duxford, England and attended the grand opening attended by the Queen.
