Only son of Paul Gowdy Andes and Line Wilhelmina Piket Andes, brother of Erica Line Andes Gamble. Born 1 November 1961 at Bethesda Naval Hospital. Raised in Springfield, Virginia and Annapolis, Maryland. A Private pilot, he is a graduate of VMI, served as a Naval Flight Officer with VP-22 in the Pacific attaining the rank of LTCDR before leaving the Navy to become a lay missionary with THE NAVIGATORS in Moscow, Russia. Three years later and now fluent in Russian he returned to the US to attended Columbia Bible College (Columbia International University) graduating with a degree in divinity and married Victoria Giles, a medical missionary living in Columbia. One son, Nathan Douglas Andes. Scott, Victoria and Nathan live in Moscow, Russia where Scott works as a minister, counselor and church planter with WORLD WITNESS.
