    Richard C.Kolker never got to be the astronaut he wanted to be growing up, but brings a lifetime interest and career in spaceflight to his role as a Discovery Station volunteer at Udvar-Hazy. As a broadcaster, software engineer and diplomat, he has worked on crewed and uncrewed spaceflight programs in Texas, Florida, Colorado and West Virginia. In addition, he helped design and organize advanced adult Space Camp programs at Huntsville, AL. Kolker is a private pilot, learning right here in the Washington, DC area. He has served as U.S. Consular Officer in Benin and Canada.
