It was my honor to command the Fourth Platoon of the 221st Reconnaissance Airplane Company in the Mekong Delta during 1966. While SFC William C. McCoy deserves special mention for his leadership all of these men served with valor and distinction under hardship conditions in a very unpopular war. The Aviators were some of the best ever to take to the skies. I want to use this space to personally thank them, and tell them how much the country appreciates their service.
